Abstract

Abstract : Stem cells have the extraordinary potential to develop into many different cell types in the body. They serves as a repair system for the body, and the cells divide without any limit to replenish other cells as long as the individual or animal is alive. Progress in stem cell biology and tissue engineering may open up new alternatives for replacing heavily damaged or lost teeth, or even individual tooth structures.
Every year endodontic treatments is helpful in saving millions of teeth, today’s era has shifted towards regenerative approaches that makes it as a ideal form to treat diseased or necrotic pulp tissues. Regeneration of lost tissues has been known for a very long time, but their applications in dentistry is gaining momentum. The enhancement in the knowledge of biological regeneration, has permitted the use of stem cells for regeneration and revascularization.
