Abstract : Guided endodontics, is a digital technologically driven treatment representing a paradigm shift inendodontic therapy. The novel concept of guided endodontics has been reported as an effective method to obtain safe and reliable results in root canal treatment. The procedure involves taking a Preoperative CBCT scan which is then aligned with intraoral 3D scans with the help of a special software, thus allowing virtual planning of the root canal access cavity. Subsequently, a 3D template can be produced to guide the drill into the calcified canal. This virtual planning helps to preserve the tooth structure and avoid procedural errors. A literature search will be performed in main database as Pubmed, Scopus , Web of science , Google Scholar to identify the relevant articles. The aim of this narrative review is to evaluate the clinical applications, accuracy and limitations of guided endodontic treatment.
